Introduction to Exercise Routines

By now you should have taken our Fitness Test and have an idea of your fitness level. For this Routines section, we've broken down to the 3 main level: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Chances are, you're results to the Fitness Test span the levels. It's not likely that all your tests resulted in the same level. So for picking a routine to use as a starting point, pick the level you had the most results in. If the number of results were very close for 2 levels, pick the lower level.

If you didn't take our Fitness Test and want to just get some ideas for exercise routines, you can easily think of the levels as:

Bronze / Beginner
Exercise Routines
Those in the Bronze level likely are new to exercising, or have taken a while off from being involved in fitness. I would recommend you check with your doctor to make sure it's ok to start, or to increase in intensity, a fitness routine. This site will give suggestions on exercises and routines, but if the exercises are new to you, it would be a good idea to work with a personal trainer to make sure your form is correct. With bad form, you increase your chance of injury. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have: nick@goforthegoldfitness.com

Silver / Intermediate Exercise Routines Those in the Silver level are in very good shape. They likely exercise often or are involved in other sports. But there are areas in their fitness that need improvement.

At this level, we're not going to suggest any simple routines. You probably already have your own favorites. Instead, we're going to give a some alternatives to workouts that you may have not thought of. The goal is to stay excited to exercise and work towards the gold level of fitness.

Gold / Advanced Exercise Routines Those in the Gold level are already in great shape. They're at the fitness level that most others are striving for. Unless you're an athlete dedicated to a particular sport, the goal of those in the Gold level should be to work on an all-round improvement of fitness.

Your busy lifestyle may limit the amount of time you have to come up with new routines. We may have come across some ideas that you may not have tried yet. We hope they may help you reach your next fitness goal.
